With Kingdee Cloud’s digital solutions, CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive has, over two years, successfully established a digitally driven operation system powered by real-time data sharing, analysis, and decision-making — a transformation that resonates across all its manufacturing business processes. The company optimized its manufacturing processes by organizing operations around projects, integrating core business functions such as design, process, planning, logistics, quality, and exception handling, and linking planning, logistics, and production execution to integrate business flow with data flow.

1. Integrated Design and Manufacturing

Leveraging Kingdee solution a unified planning system and MRP logic transforms design processes into production workflows. Production orders are automatically generated and dispatched to APS and MES. APS intelligently schedules under multiple constraints, generates operation plans for workpieces, processes, and equipment, and pushes them to the central control or workstations for execution. Simultaneously, numerical control programs and process drawings are issued, enabling paperless manufacturing and real-time, interactive access to technical information. The system also provides real-time progress feedback and includes a tiered abnormal incident reporting and handling process to ensure efficient and controllable production execution.

2. Integrated Planning and Logistics

Procurement Logistics

Through EAS planning system calculations, stocking and delivery plans are automatically generated and shared in real time via the supplier collaboration platform, ensuring timely arrival of materials aligned with production schedules.

Production Logistics

MES issues a 7-day material preparation plan and a 3-day binding plan. The 7-day plan guides logistics teams in material staging and kitting, while the 3-day plan drives AGV/forklift material delivery to workstations. Mobile apps enable seamless coordination and handoffs between production steps, enhancing operational efficiency and collaboration across the shop floor.

3. Integrated Production Quality and Complete Quality Traceability System

Inspection requirements are preconfigured for each process, triggering automatic quality inspections based on production progress. Through integrated EAS and MES, a comprehensive non-conformance management process is implemented, covering rework, release, and scrap disposalreplenishment. All production and quality data are linked to unique workpiece identifiers (serial numbers), and through a QR code system, one-code traceability is achieved. Traceable data includes process information, production data, quality inspection records, rework history, logistics details, and assembly records-providing a complete digital history for each product.

4. Supplier Collaboration to Enhance Internal and External Information Interaction Speed

CRRC Zhuzhou has built a mature supplier ecosystem, managing large volumes of daily information exchanges — from purchase orders, delivery plans, and stock data to quality reports, technical modifications, drawings, and financial reconciliations. The supplier collaboration platform enables cross-organizational interaction based on a win–win framework, allowing for real-time data sharing between procurement, production, quality, warehousing, and finance departments and their suppliers. This significantly improves the speed and responsiveness of information exchange and helps meet market demands.

5. Intelligent Production Scheduling — Ensuring On-Time Plan Execution

CRRC Zhuzhou uses touchscreens, mobile devices, and lean electronic boards to enable smart and visualized production scheduling.
